Addy Soctomah

Addy Soctomah is a character in The CW's 2019 television series Nancy Drew, first introduced in season 3, and portrayed by Rachel Colwell. Addy goes on a coffee date with Bess, and later encounters her again at the Historical Society.

Addy is an adult woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She is of first nation descent, presumably the Passamaquoddy Tribe in Maine.

Plot summary[]

Bess meets Addy for a coffee date, but the date goes poorly. She texts Ace to extract her, and he pretends she's needed at The Claw so she can escape the date.^[1]

While Bess is interning at the Historical Society, Addy comes in looking for historical documentation about former Passamaquoddy land in Horseshoe Bay. As Bess gets her the documents, Addy insults her use of an electric kettle and tells Bess she should be less sensitive. Addy takes the documents and tells her she'll have them back by the end of the day. When Bess later visits Nick at his youth center to ask for a ride to help Nancy, Addy is revealed to be the youth center's new STEM counselor. The building was built on Passamaquoddy lands, and Addy is arranging to get a plaque out front to commemorate. When Addy returns that evening, Bess finally opens up about what her life is like and why she wasn't interested in conversation. Addy calls her interesting and they start kissing.^[2]
