History[]

Celia married Everett Hudson and at some point had a son, Ryan, born in the 1980s.

In 1999, Everett planned a business venture with the Marvin family where they would bring ancient artifacts across the sea and split the profits 50/50. Before the ship, known as the Bonny Scot, departed, Everett and his wife Celia attended a masquerade ball where Lucy Sable witnessed Celia's affair with Sebastian. Celia threatened Lucy if she were to ever tell anyone about the affair. Lucy later wrote an encoded poem about the encounter.

Everett learned of the affair and arranged for explosive devices to be placed on the Bonny Scot, as he hoped to kill Sebastian and their deal. He forged documents to make it appear as though the ship mysteriously sank, killing twelve crew members, including Sebastian Marvin. Everett had already arranged for the artifacts to be delivered before the Bonny Scot sunk. While unable to sell the artifacts, Everett and Celia still profited off the loss thanks to to the insurance money. The extent of Celia's involvement in the incident remained unclear.

Celia tells Ryan that Everett will be out of prison soon, but Ryan is upset that he murdered Sebastian for revenge and killed 11 other men in the process. She makes a phone call to someone to "permanently" ensure that Carson doesn't talk.

In The Scourge of the Forgotten Rune, Celia meets Ryan at the yacht club to tell him that Nancy is his daughter showing him DNA proof. She hasn’t told Everett yet as she wants to make sure that Ryan didn’t know about her existence until now, but assures him she will take care of it.

Nancy meets with Celia that afternoon. She tells Celia she doesn’t want the company, Hudson Enterprises, but Celia tells her that she can’t sign away the company. She believes that Nancy has tried to expedite the process by having Everett arrested. Nancy panics and turns the truck on which releases a memory wiping gas. She takes her now memory-less Grandmother back to The Claw where she entrusts her to Ryan. Nancy explains this situation to him and that he needs to look after her. Celia's personality is different now and she's more open and willing to converse or dance. In fact, as time goes on, Celia brings donuts to Nancy who is also under the effects of the memory gas. She asks him to come home and he agrees by hugging her tightly. Ryan wants Nancy to be sure about bringing Celia’s memories back, but Nancy is hopeful that the nice sweet lady she knew is still in there. Nancy assures her that she can be trusted, so Celia agrees to see how that goes.

Celia wants her to retract the statement about Everett’s in the Bonny Scot. She warns that Everett will keep Nancy alive if she does this and others to prove her loyalty. Nancy initially backs out of the deal as she can't jeopardize her reputation as a detective or her moral compass. However, when her friend Ace is kidnapped and Nancy is forced to hand over a crucial device in another case, she calls Celia to ask for help in retrieving the device from a hitman. Celia promises that no blood would be shed and holds up her end of the deal by delivering the device back to Nancy. In return, Nancy recants her statement.
