Copper Gorge is a small town along the railroad in Colorado. It was a popular stop for miners throughout the 1800's.

Camille Hurley, the wife of the original owner of the train, was buried there, and her crypt contained clues needed to find Jake Hurley's mine.
Lori Girard and her the rest of her party stopped here during her train trip in 2005. On this trip was Nancy Drew, who was able to later uncover the remains of Jake Hurley and his mine.
Copper Gorge seems to be known for its taffy. Fatima is the proprietor of Buell's Museum and Taffy Shop, which makes Happee Taffee, as well as displays artifacts associated with mining and in this particular instance, Jake Hurley's pickaxe and trunk.
