Melinda Hsu Taylor is an American television writer and producer. She is an executive producer for The CW's 2019 television series Nancy Drew.


Prior to working on Nancy Drew, Hsu Taylor is best known for her work on the ABC series Lost (2009-2010). She's worked on various TV series including The Vampire Diaries (2013-2017) and The Gifted (2017-2018).

Hsu Taylor is an outspoken advocate for the "Safety for Sarah" movement, which was created following the death of Sarah Jones on a movie set in 2014.[1][2][3][4] Jones and Hsu Taylor worked together on The Vampire Diaries. Hsu Taylor serves on the Advisory Board for the Sarah Jones Film Foundation, which fosters on-set safety through awareness and accountability.[5] With her work on Nancy Drew, she shared that the set crew call the first shot "The Jonesy, in honor of Sarah Jones."[6]
